What I help with

About me

I’m a qualified therapist with an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a registered member of the BACP (MBACP). I work with men from all backgrounds in a calm, straightforward way, and I enjoy helping clients make sense of what’s going on for them. You might be under pressure at work, overanalysing things, getting angry more than you want to, shutting down, or struggling at home or in a relationship. You don’t need to be in crisis or know exactly what to say. I can handle what you bring, and you don’t need to have it all worked out before you start.

My approach with men

We begin with what feels important to you. If keeping things light or talking things through helps you get started, we can do that. I’ll listen carefully, ask direct questions and say what I notice when it seems useful. There are no worksheets or homework unless you want to try something between sessions. You can be direct, angry, uncertain, quiet or not know where to start. I’m comfortable with difficult subjects, and you won’t be expected to make yourself more vulnerable than you’re ready to be.

How we get started

You can book a free 15-minute call to ask questions and get a feel for how I work. There’s no pressure to commit. The first session is a chance to talk about what has brought you here and see if we’re a good fit. Sessions are 50 minutes, in person in Glasgow, by video or phone.
