Chris Hemmings
"Representation matters. Seeing so many male therapists in one place can help men feel like therapy is a space where they belong."
Chris Hemmings is a BACP-registered psychotherapist & coach. He's also a men’s mental health speaker & workshop facilitator specialising in men’s mental health, masculinity and emotional wellbeing. For more than a decade, his work has focused on helping men and boys better understand themselves, their relationships and the challenges associated with being a man.
In 2019, he founded M-Path, delivering talks, workshops and training in schools, universities and organisations on masculinity, mental health, relationships and empathy. He later founded Men’s Therapy Hub after reflecting on the experience of his therapeutic training. In 2026, he was named on the Centre for Policy Research on Men & Boys’ inaugural Champions List.
Before training as a therapist, he spent ten years as a BBC journalist, producer and presenter, making documentaries about men, masculinity and other social issues. His book, Be A Man: How Macho Culture Damages Us and How to Escape It, was published in 2017.
Today, Chris combines clinical practice, education and advocacy to help create more useful, honest conversations about men, masculinity and emotional wellbeing.
