What I help with
About me
I’m a therapeutic counsellor and crisis support worker who often works with younger men. I particularly enjoy supporting men with anxiety by helping them identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours. Together, we can explore self-compassion, challenge your inner critic and manage negative self-talk, so you can learn to treat yourself with greater kindness. I can also help you recognise, understand and make space for your feelings without becoming overwhelmed, and develop communication skills to express yourself authentically and build stronger, healthier relationships.
My approach with men
I follow an integrative approach, which means I can draw upon a range of counselling theories and techniques to best meet your needs. This is based on the belief that no single approach will work for all clients and that the most effective counselling is tailored to each person’s individual needs. While my counselling practice is grounded in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), it is often complemented with other modalities when needed. More specifically, I work with men to understand the thoughts, feelings and behaviours affecting their lives, and provide practical ways of moving forward.
How we get started
You are welcome to book a free 25-minute consultation to see if I’m the right counsellor for you. We can discuss what has brought you to counselling, what you’re hoping for, and answer any questions you may have. It’s simply a chance to get to know each other and explore how counselling might help.
