What I help with
About me
I’m Lee, a BACP Accredited Counsellor and EMDR Accredited Practitioner. I work particularly with men experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, stress, OCD, relationship difficulties and feeling stuck or disconnected. I also have a particular focus on supporting men and fathers affected by baby loss, including miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal loss. My approach is warm, down-to-earth and collaborative, combining counselling, CBT and EMDR where appropriate. I offer face-to-face sessions in Porthleven, Cornwall, and online therapy across the UK.
My approach with men
My approach is warm, down-to-earth and collaborative. I know therapy can feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable, particularly if you’re used to dealing with things on your own. I don’t expect you to walk in and immediately talk about the hardest things in your life. Trust takes time. We might start by talking about work, family, football or whatever feels natural. I draw on counselling, CBT and EMDR depending on what you need, but above all I want therapy to feel like a genuine conversation where you can be yourself, without judgement or pressure to have all the answers.
How we get started
Getting started is simple. Send me a message or give me a call and we can arrange a free 15-minute introductory chat. It’s a chance to talk briefly about what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions and see whether working together feels right. There’s no pressure to book afterwards.
