What I help with
About me
I have worked as a counsellor as I received counselling myself. From a truck driver and biker, (still a biker but without a bike) My life changed as I now have a mobility disability. I also feel I am now in the right place. I have worked for around 17 years with Cruse Bereavement as counsellor and supervisor. I now work private practice so I am in control and have no limit on sessions be it one or years. My website is dandelion-counselling-supervision.com. I work with you face to face and Zoom if needed, both work very well. It is important to know, this is for you and your own development.
My approach with men
I do see all of my clients as the most important when we are together. I also realise, as a man who has had my own counselling, this was not easy. I was strong enough to deal with all my issues (I was not). I didn't need a stranger to listen to all my woes (I did). My life changed very much for the better due to my counselling. It also began my wanting to become a counsellor. There is a great deal of courage needed to ask for help. Men do have courage, also pride. I am actually proud I asked for help. I am stronger and more important, more myself. Take the step if you need it.
How we get started
We start with you contacting me. A phone call or text on 07456549459. Also an Email to colin.devine1961@gmail.com. We would then arrange a convenient time and day to meet, face to face Zoom or phone. This is for you to look at me, am i suitable. If all ok we would then book our first appointment.
