What I help with
About me
I am a queer and neurodivergent therapist looking to provide a safe, non-judgemental space for other queer, neurodivergent, and/or polyamorous people. I offer mixed-methods therapy with a CBT focus, with an adaptable approach to suit your needs. I have over six years of academic and practical experience in the field of psychology, having done an undergraduate degree and Master's degree at the University of Hull before obtaining my Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Group Work with the Centre of Therapy and Counselling Studies.
My approach with men
I think mental health support is severely undervalued in our society, and that is especially true for men, whom are often outright mocked and belittled for seeking support. I want to change that, and offering a non-judgemental space for men to talk feels like an excellent place to start. Although I myself am non-binary I was raised as male, and so I know all too well the pressure masculinity puts on a person's shoulders and the sting of being told to 'just man up'. I want to offer a space that allows you to deal with these pressures, recognise their impact on you, and grow beyond them.
