What I help with
About me
Hi, I'm Malcolm. I came to counselling through my own personal experiences. I know what it's like to carry something heavy, and I know how much it can help to finally have somewhere to put it down. I have helped people navigate loss in all its forms, including bereavement, redundancy, work place difficulties and the kind of identity shifts that don't always get taken seriously by the people around you. People often minimise those experiences, as though they shouldn't hurt as much as other kinds of loss. In my experience, they can be every bit as destabilising.
My approach with men
A lot of men arrive with something immediate on their mind. That's a perfectly good place to start. There's no pressure to go deeper than your ready to go. We work at your pace. I offer a safe confidential space to talk, face to face in Weymouth or online via Zoom or by phone. If you'd like a free introductory call before committing to anything, just drop me a message when your ready.
How we get started
I offer a free 20 to 30 minute introductory phone call. The purpose of this is to establish what you are looking for from therapy and whether we are compatible to work togethe. As well as asking any questions you may have.
