What I help with
About me
I'm a licensed clinical psychologist who has spent my career focused on men's mental health. I see individuals and couples via telehealth in Connecticut and New York. I'm the author of Quiet Your Mind: A Men's Guide, and an expert contributor for Psychology Today. My focus area took shape at the Manhattan VA, working with combat veterans whose anxiety, depression, and trauma had been building for years. Since then, I've worked with leaders across industries stuck in doubt and overthinking, searching for more purpose and more fulfilling relationships at work and home.
My approach with men
If you're a striver carrying more than you let on, this is familiar territory for me. You may be entering therapy for the first time, restarting it, skeptical it will work, or uncertain it's worth the effort. Ambivalence is not disqualifying. I'll help you slow down, build self-confidence, and look honestly at what performing nonstop actually costs you. You'll know what I'm thinking. I'll share hypotheses, help you feel more deeply, send you home with experiments to try between sessions, and keep humor in the room.
How we get started
We start with a free 20-minute consultation. No lengthy intake forms, just a conversation to see if this is the right fit. The first session covers how therapy works here and what to expect. Early on, my goal is to demystify the process, or help you regain hope if you're returning.
