What I help with
About me
People's stories have been my lifelong passion. Before training as a therapist, I worked as a film & TV producer, supporting screenwriters through the creative development process. I realised how vital our narratives are to the way we construct meaning and identity, but equally how we can get lost in our own stories. Sometimes we need to disentangle from story and return to our moment-to-moment felt experience. Many of my psychotherapy clients over the years have been writers, actors, directors and musicians wrestling with the relationship between their professional and personal identities.
My approach with men
I appreciate the specific challenges men face today, however my approach is tailored towards each individual's needs, never one-size-fits-all. I believe clients are experts in their lives, drawing on varying techniques to bring lasting change to all aspects of your wellbeing – mental, physical, emotional, relational. Early attachments with caregivers are critical to how we perceive our surroundings. I help you explore your patterns of relating and how this affects your sense of self. Ultimately, a strong working relationship will help you feel heard and become a creative blueprint for change.
How we get started
I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, whether I can help you and if we're a good fit. I always invite clients to speak to many therapists and gauge who they feel most comfortable with. We'll then book in a first session if you are ready to proceed.
