What I help with
About me
I received my Ph.D. in psychology from Long Island University-Brooklyn. My training experiences consist of acute inpatient psychotherapy at Beth Israel Medical Center, college counseling, HIV+ outpatient clinic psychotherapy, and advanced training at the New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. I completed my psychology internship at the Manhattan Veterans Affairs hospital with a particular focus on group therapy. I completed postdoctoral fellowship at the therapy group: Therapists of New York. Currently, I work in my own private practice and am board certified in group psychotherapy.
My approach with men
I am direct, down-to-earth, and utilize humor as a way of helping men connect with their emotional life. We will examine your relationship to your feelings and your family of origin; however, we will not over-focus on the abstract but rather incorporate actionable ideas. I welcome feedback and critique.
How we get started
Please send me an email to set up a short phone call. We will then meet for a formal session, which can serve as a trial period to see if we are a good fit. If not, I will gladly help refer.
