What I help with
About me
I’m a New York City psychotherapist who works with men, including professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, performing artists, and gay and bisexual men. I help with anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout, relationship difficulties, substance use, life transitions, and questions around sex. Many of the men I see appear capable and successful but privately feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than two decades in nonprofit leadership, which informs how I understand ambition, responsibility, career pressure, risk, and change.
My approach with men
Many men are used to pushing through, keeping things contained, or trying to solve problems on their own. I offer a place to speak honestly without being judged or told how you should feel. My style is warm, direct, curious, and collaborative. I work primarily from psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, and interpersonal perspectives, helping you understand patterns in relationships, emotions, and choices, and how earlier experiences may be shaping the present. I’m practical and flexible, and we can focus on concrete changes when useful. The goal is greater clarity, connection, and choice in life.
How we get started
Please send me an email to set up a brief consultation. If it seems like we may be a good fit, we can schedule an initial session and take it from there. If I’m not the right therapist for you, I’m happy to help you think about other options or referrals.
